The ‘ you’re only as good as your last job ‘ attitude is toxic and everything wrong with the modern workplace

As the title says , years and years of hard work seemingly at the wayside because you make one mistake . Recency bias is a thing and I understand but even the maths involved and probability tells us that if you work for 50 years most days of the week you are going to have a few fuck ups . There have to be consequences for mistakes and they also range in severity I understand that but I think it’s a very sad world we live in where a mistake is remembered for longer than your good work . People in my office space still bitch about mistakes People made years ago and almost always never mention the months or years of hard work . Shambles .
