Poor audio quality for video conferencing (Zoom) is unprofessional.

Nothing more infuriating listening to someone with poor audio quality. Scratchy audio, echoes, low bit rate etc.

It’s annoying as there are hundreds of people listening to you. You have to put in some effort to ensure your equipment is up to scratch. Most people should be able to get this done with a basic laptop mic. However other people need to test and potentially get something better.

I’m also noticing this trend when a podcaster will have a zoom call with someone and the audio quality is nasty.

This is the modern day equivalent of showing up to work poorly dressed. We need to hear you clearly.
