Expecting doctors to care is silly

Doctors aren’t your mother, they aren’t your teddy bear, they aren’t there to care and love you and cry if you have pain. I’ve recently seen a number of comments stating doctors “don’t care”, but it was always said quite negatively.

Doctors are people who see a problem and try to find a solution. They’re puzzle solvers and you’re a puzzle. Would you really want them to care? Imagine how annoying it would be to see your doctor’s eyes widen and their face turn pitiful every time you tell them your arm hurts. I’d hate it.
Doctors are professionals who handle diseases, and the only thing to expect from them is to try and solve your problem and occasionally deliver sad news with humanity. They simply don’t have the time, nor the training to care about your life, and that’s perfectly alright.
